A is for Alternative Dispute Resolution Procedures

In this Instagram reel, I talk about what alternative dispute resolutions are.

Chances are, you probably have alternative dispute resolution procedures written into your contract but never knew what they were called. Basically, these are ways for you to try and resolve a conflict before it heads to court.

I’m a big fan of these procedures because they can help take the temperature down a bit when a dispute arises by requiring the parties to attempt to find a solution BEFORE ending up in a courtroom.

That being said, make sure you chat with your attorney about which alternative dispute resolution procedure (like arbitration or mediation) might be right for you since they have pros and cons depending on your specific business.
